Russ has served as Chief Executive Officer of Chestnut Health Systems for over 30 years. Chestnut is a comprehensive behavioral health system based in Illinois (U.S.A.) that provides addiction treatment, mental health services, applied health services research, and international employee assistance. Throughout the course of his executive career, Russ has emphasized the transfer of knowledge to practice while improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of care. Russ is also CEO of Chestnut Global Partners (CGP), a subsidiary of Chestnut Health Systems and an international EAP with equity interest Joint Venture offices and country-based partners based in Beijing, China, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Moscow, Russia, New Delhi, India, and a network of providers in over 100 countries. His particular passion is to help CGP's international provider partners adapt the "western" EAP concept to fit the local, cultural context as well as build the organizational capability to innovate, execute, and measure. Russ also has significant experience as a trainer and consultant with diverse audiences, including corporate leaders, international HR executives, and front line supervisors.
Dave is also a Research Scientist with Chestnut's Division of Commercial Science where he deploys scientific and analytical methodologies to help EAP firms and other workplace-based health programs evaluate their effectiveness. Dave has published over 70 articles in peer reviewed journals and trade magazines on topics related to EAP effectiveness, outcomes, pricing, ethics, quality, purchaser education, delivery models, and reform in the field. He is on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Workplace Behavioral Health and the Board of Directors of the Employee Assistance Research Foundation. Dr. Sharar also co-chairs the "EAP Group" for the National Behavioral Consortium, serves on the Review Committee for EAPA's Journal of Employee Assistance, and is a long-standing member of EASNA's Knowledge-Research-Transfer Committee. His current research focus is on measuring the workplace effectiveness of EAP interventions.
Tom is the Vice President of Sales at Chestnut Global Partners and leads the organization’s sales and business development efforts for EAP/Work-Life and well-being services. He has more than 20 years of experience in sales and management in the areas of behavioral health and wellness services. He’s also held positions at Harris Rothenberg International, Value Options and Magellan where he was responsible for sales of behavioral health services, EAP, and Work-Life.
Tom earned his B.A. from Central Washington University in Public Relations. He is a member of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of Employee Benefits Specialists and has served as the president and board member of the chapter. He has held his Certified Employee Benefits Specialists designation from the Wharton School of Business since 1995. Tom speaks regularly at industry events on issues relating to employee benefits and human resources.
Matt has over 21 years of experience in the mental health and employee assistance field. He has a M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Illinois State University. Matt’s areas of focus include international EAP, disease management, workplace drug testing/drug free workplace, workplace violence, supervisory coaching, and emotional intelligence. He has done training sessions and EAP work in Brazil, China, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Panama, Mexico, Canada, Russia, and France.
Mike is also involved in the financial and business operations with joint ventures in Brazil and in Mexico. Some of his areas of expertise include: crisis intervention, trauma response, elderly issues, cross-cultural issues, budget, underwriting, and customer service. Mike received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in psychology from DePauw University and Antioch University.
Puneet Leekha was appointed Assistant General Counsel of Chestnut Global Partners in 2012 and General Counsel of Chestnut Health Systems and Chestnut Global Partners in 2014. He advises the organization on all facets of its business, including domestic and international corporate transactions, commercial contracting, risk management, corporate compliance, privacy and security matters, and corporate governance. Puneet is involved with CGP’s joint venture companies and has handled transactions in countries such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, Hungary, and Mexico. He also led an initiative to open the organization’s branch office in Belgium. In addition, Puneet has authored and lectured for the Employee Assistance Professionals Association. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Washington University in St. Louis and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Brett is the primary liaison with our domestic client companies. He focuses on each client's specific goals and ensures that the value of their EAP is maximized by coordinating and supervising all phases of the agreement and serving as the central point for communication, consultation, reports, evaluation studies, and problem solving. Brett earned his B.S. in Communications at Illinois State University.
Jamie manages and oversees the daily operations of the call center and provides crisis intervention and group debriefings. Jamie is also a case manager and telephonic/video counselor. Jamie is a National Certified Counselor and License Professional Counselor. She has multiple degrees including a B.A. in History from Southern Illinois University, a B.S. in Human Development from Illinois State University, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Capella University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. Jamie is a member of the Employee Assistance Program Association.
Stephanie maintains domestic and international EAP Affiliate network coverage while ensuring qualifications, requirements and contracting processes are met and completed. Through regular collaboration with affiliates, she supports and strengthens CGP's professional relationships. In addition, Stephanie oversees program utilization and ad hoc reports for corporate customers. She has a B.A. degree from Ashford University in Social and Criminal Justice.
Over the past 20 years Todd has provided employee and management training services for both small business and Fortune 100 companies on a variety of mental health and workplace topics ranging from leadership in times of crisis and managing troubled employees to stress resiliency and substance abuse. Todd regularly consults with organizations on team health concerns and also coordinates CGP’s crisis response services. He is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois and obtained his M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College.
Pam's experience in wellness includes all aspects of wellness activities, such as Risk Identification, Health Coaching and Behavior Modification, Work Environment Change, and Health Education. Pam is responsible for the continued growth of Health and Wellness services for existing and future customers of CGP locally, nationally, and across the globe.
Pam developed and managed an innovative Disease Management Program as a collaborative effort between Corporate Medical and Benefits for a Fortune 100 company. Relying on objective data and measurable outcomes, Pam worked diligently with the stakeholders and vendors to get medical costs under control by designing an evidenced-based outreach intervention with a method to engage high risk/high cost employees with a Diabetes or Depression diagnosis. Armed with medical cost reduction data and “proof of concept”, Pam proceeded to broaden the conversation to the bigger issue of productivity loss and understanding that all facets of a worker’s well-being affect work productivity and safety.
Pam holds undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Nursing and is licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the Case Management Coordinator for the International Assistance Program. She is responsible for the clinical coordination and account management of expatriate services for CGP customers. Sarah earned her Master's Degree from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Veteran, having served six years in the Illinois Air National Guard.
Liliana earned her M.B.A. degree from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. Liliana supervises and coordinates all phases of EAP roll-out and implementation for CGP customers outside of the U.S. She also plays a key role in developing and maintaining relationships and effective communications with CGP’s global network of providers, strategic partners, and Joint Venture companies. Liliana is also bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
Lou has over 25 years of experience in the fields of disease management, health care informatics, consulting, and financial advisory services. He holds an M.S. and M.B.A. degree from MIT’s Sloan School of Management (Finance and Operations Research) and a B.A. from Holy Cross College (Mathematics). He is a Certified Medical Practice Executive and a Certified Financial Advisor. He is also President of Disease Management Strategy Group, Inc. and was previously CEO of Clinical NetwoRx, a developer of electronic medical records, and founder of Medication Misuse Prevention Systems, Inc., which developed a decision support system to prevent medication interactions among the geriatric population. He also developed Wellcast ROI, decision support software that forecasts the return on investment on disease prevention programs. Lou currently resides in São Paulo, Brazil.
Roberta is a practicing physician and Certified Wellness and Health Coach (ACSM/Wellcoaches School of Coaches). Founder of medIntegral, a practical medical application which integrates the best practices in the medical field to achieve the best health state and well-being. Dr. Ribeiro has been working in the Health and Wellness field for the past 20 years, helping people to manifest their higher potential.
Daniele's career started with physical activity programs for chronic patients in São Paulo, Brazil. The continuous search for scientific evidence and for best practices towards the adherence to healthy behaviors and programs led to the double challenge of working with academic teaching and becoming a co-owner of ECOS Consulting, in which she designed and implemented life quality programs in some of the most important companies in Brazil, highlighting the recognition obtained by one of its clients to be included in the list of the top 100 Great Place to Work. Daniele was one of the first professionals in Brazil to obtain the certification in Health & Wellness Coaching (ACSM / Wellcoaches School of Coaches) and also to implement health coaching programs within companies.
Aleksey is a Sales and Development specialist with a degree in Translation and Economics from Saratov State University in Russia. Aleksey has diverse experience in sales rollout and business development.
Aleksey also has experience working in big Russian and multinational companies as a Sales Director and Business Development Director. In his work, Aleksey focuses on establishing and maintaining a wide network of CH clients in Russia and CIS along with CH brand awareness and sustainable growth.
Dr. Shtoulman graduated from First Moscow Medical University as a general Physician in 1972. Since then his professional experience moved him to the field of cardiology, resuscitation and emergency medicine. Since 1990, Dr. Shtoulman’s education and practice has been in the field of addictions counseling, one of the first in Russia. With growing expertise in the addictions field he worked on the design of an educational program for addictions specialists in Moscow Municipal University of Psychology and Pedagogue. Acknowledging the need for new, effective approaches to managing different kinds of destructive human behavior, Dr. Shtoulman works to introduce Employee Assistance Services to Russian employers and employees.
Cherry created the first Sino-U.S. Joint Venture to provide EAP Services in 2005. Cherry received her B.A. at the Peking University, EMBA, and is a Certified Psychological Counselor by the State.
She has been the leader of PCGP for eight years and is constantly improving the EAP Service Operation System, putting effort into EAP localization and promoting China's EAP development. Cherry is building the most respected EAP Service Team and infrastructures in the EAP industry in China.
She has given many professional speeches in International EAP forums that help to maintain China’s EAP simultaneously process with the rest of the world.
Cherry leads the team for research and development, promoting and deploying the EAP standard and tolerance with the needs of clients. Xiaoqing has over 20 years in sales and marketing and general management with a remarkable success record in multinational corporations: SIEMENS Communications, Lucent Technologies, Oracle Systems, COMPAQ Computers, etc. Mr. Zhang has served more than 16 years as GM / Chief Rep. / Vertical Director with experience in national business development in direct and indirect models with full P & L Responsibilities. He is skillful in providing total solutions with end to end product services as well as system integrations. He currently resides in Beijing, China.
Yan joined Psychcn-Chestnut Global Partners in January of 2009. She first worked as an intake counselor then later as a Coordinator on the Account Manager’s team and as a Service Operation Manager. Yan graduated from Beijing Normal University and received her Master’s degree in Developmental and Educational Psychology in 2004. Ms. Ma is a Licensed Psychological Counselor in China and a member of the Chinese Psychology Association. Since 2000, she has been involved with psychological studies and research and has published 10 papers. She has attended many training sessions and workshops about psychological crisis prevention, solution-focused brief therapy, etc. Her areas of interest are crisis prevention, child education and workplace related counseling issues. She is devoted to providing excellent psychological services in the workplace.
XY, an independent Board Director of Chestnut Global Partners China Joint Venture, has nearly 40 years of practical experience in finance, accounting, audit and taxation in and out of China. He has a Master’s degree in Accounting from the PRC Finance Ministry Institute. XY became the audit director in the pioneering Chinese CPA firm CCAFM under the Finance Ministry. With China’s opening, XY moved on to Arthur Andersen & Co. as a senior business consultant. In the early 1990s, XY moved to industries, first joining a U.S. blue chip corporation in 1992 as the China CFO. His 10 years there contributed creative solutions to various financial, accounting and tax challenges encountered by this Dow Jones component company. In 2002, XY joined a private equity management company as the CFO for China. XY has been a financial consultant for Chestnut Global Partners since 2006. XY resides in China.
Anita Tompa brings over 15 year of business development, marketing and operation experience of Wamsrey and Roose. She has a Master Degree from Corvinus University in Budapest. She trained at Family and Couple Therapy. She is a licensed mediator.

Judit Süle is responsible for the management of clinical aspects of our EAP’s and related services and supervises clinical staff. She holds a Master Degree in Psychology from Eötvös Lórand University in Budapest. She has extensive experience in outpatient psychotherapy for adults, children and families. She is trained in Family/couple therapy, Hypnotherapy, Autogenic and Meditative Training and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She is a licensed mediator. She also lectures in Medical Psychology for graduate medical students at Semmelweiss University. She is a member of the Hungarian Psychological Association.
Dr. Lennox (Rik) is the Vice President and Chief Scientist of Commercial Science for Chestnut Global Partners. He has over 25 years of experience in measurement and program evaluation, with over 50 articles in peer reviewed journals in the area of applied social measurement and research methodology. His research interests include application of structural equation modeling to the advancement of applied measurement, the use of routine outcome monitoring for evaluation and quality assurance, the improvement of EAP evaluation methods. Dr. Lennox is the developer of CGP’s Workplace Outcome Suite, which is designed to provide a set of five item, psychometric constructed and validated, that can be used to evaluate employee assistance program and services. Rik serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Behavioral Health Services and Research. He holds a Ph.D. in Personality and Social Psychology from Texas Tech University and a M.A. in General Experimental Psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Dr. Dennis (Mike) is a Senior Research Psychologist and Director of the Global Appraisal of Individual Needs (GAIN) Coordinating Center at Chestnut Health Systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Northwestern University with a focus in Methodology and Evaluation Research. Dr. Dennis holds a MERIT award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) for his research on managing addiction as a chronic condition and has led over a dozen experiments including the Recovery Management Checkup (RMC) experiments and the Cannabis Youth Treatment (CYT) Experiments. The RMC experiments with adults were among the first studies to show that we can change the long term course of addiction over four years. The CYT experiments remain the largest experiment with adolescents ever done and have been one of the most successful to date in terms of being successfully replicated in over five dozen community based treatment programs in less than five years.
Dr. Dennis has over 300 publications, is on the editorial board of several journals, is the chair of the Data Safety Monitoring Boards monitoring Board for NIDA’s Division of Epidemiology Services and Prevention Research. He has also been recognized by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and Joint Meeting on Adolescent Treatment Effectiveness (JMATE) as one of the country’s leading researchers working bridge the gap between research, evidence based practices, and practice based evidence.
Audrey has over 15 years of experience in scientific research, project and account management, training and consultancy within the fields of health psychology, stress prevention and management, and well-being policy. She holds a M.A. (Labour and Organization Psychology) and Ph.D. degree (Health Psychology; food choice behavior) from the Leuven University (KULeuven). Dr. Eertmans heads the European Branch Office and manages CGP activities and services within the European region. She supports the translation of CGP‘s vision specifically to the culturally diverse European context, performs client prospecting and account management, and screening of local providers. Audrey also collaborates with CGP’s Division of Commercial Science to validate and promote CGP’s tools for needs assessment and program evaluation. The European Branch Office is located in the city of Leuven (Belgium), very close to capital of the European Union, Brussels.
After receiving his doctoral degree in psychology from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, Dr. Li held teaching and research positions at University of Wisconsin-Stout and Hohai University in Nanjing, China. Peizhong served as the Director of Research and Development at Psychcn-Chestnut Global Partners (PCGP) in Beijing from January to October 2012, before his family relocation to British Columbia, Canada. He is currently a senior researcher and consultant for PCGP. His expertise in the EAP area includes mental health assessment and training, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of EAP interventions.
